My aunt’s cat also died in a dryer. If your cat has access to the laundry room, it’s a good idea to double check that the cat is not inside the appliance before starting it. And to leave the doors closed unless you are actively changing the load. My aunt was heartbroken when she discovered the kitty was “dried”.
Cats don’t have opposable thumbs like humans. Their claw also make laundry folding quite difficult.

Also, cat’s small size would make it difficult to load clothes into the washer and/or dryer.

This entire process seems terribly inefficient when cats are involved.

Not to mention that they’d get their hairs on it. Plus, it would be very difficult for them to iron and do other laundry related things.
