Even sweaters that are not worn by cats accumulate hair in households where cats are present. It will not take long for the sweater in the picture to need brushing.

Cats do not need sweaters. They are uncomfortable for them, and feel unnatural. Furthermore, cats do not require sweaters to keep warm. They have fur. Altogether, a sweater should be kept as a cat-free device.
