Some people like to dress their cats in funny collars or outfits.

Cats generally do not like wearing silly outfits.

The polka-dotted bowtie isn’t very professional anyways.

Moreover, even if this cat had the fiscal means, financial ingenuity, raw determination and gem of an idea to be a small businessman (or businesscat), which is unlikely, as cats are known, despite having shrewd monetary tendencies, to commonly cut their losses, sell their shares, or otherwise make as much money possible at the first sign of risk of their business or other incorporated source of investment going down the tubes.

While the collar may be embarrassing, I motion that it is “cute-embarrassing” not “sad-embarrassing”

To a cat, a collar with a bow tie is probably no more or less embarrassing than a collar without a bow tie. As long as the neckwear doesn’t impeded the cat in anyway, it may well get used to it and learn to ignore it.

The owners, however, should probably be embarrassed about dressing their cat in silly clothes. (People may be embarrassed on behalf of their cats.)

cats cannot read, so they cant see the caption and would make horrible (but cute) businessmen

This cat is also most likely uncomfortable. That tie looks tight.

If the cat were a businessman(cat?), a brightly colored bow tie would probably be considered unprofessional. If the cat is serious about pursuing a career in business, it would be well worth it to said cat to invest in a dark gray or navy blue suit, as this is the most appropriate outerwear for the multiple job interviews the cat would likely face.

A cat would be highly unlikely to get a job of any kind. An interviewer is unlikely to hire anyone who comes into an interview, rubs their face on the interviewer’s leg and then proceeds to spend the rest of the interview licking his own crotch and falling asleep in the chair.

I’d hire the cat, bowtie or no bowtie. Studies have shown that likability is the strongest predictor of success on the job, and I really like most cats.
