And if you turn on the water while the cat is curled up in the sink, it may not like it.

Unless you have a cat I had at one point canton, then it’s the complete opposite.

I have grown up with cats. Most have not appreciated being sprayed or sprinkled with water. This is why spray-bottle training can be effective.

The one cat I had that didn’t care about water was totally fearless. I’m not sure she actually liked getting soaked, but the spray bottle didn’t work very well on her, either. :)

My cat would sit there and look at me when I turned the water on when he was sleeping in the sink. And when I gave him a bath he returned the favor my licking me.

Yeah, cats like to lay in sinks, even though I have no idea why, maybe they like the coldness of the sink?

I think it has to do more with the fact that sinks are the perfect size for cats to lay in. Cats often enjoy sitting in cat-sized spaces; hence, their fondness for sitting in boxes, sinks, and household crockery.

My cat fell in the toilet bowl one time when he tried to jump onto the sink. He was unhappy.

I would like to take this time to point out that cats don’t like to ‘lay’ in sinks they like to ‘lie’ in sinks. They can, however, lay themselves in a sink.

Doesn’t it get rather wet in a sink?
The caption is just a bit strange – don’t you think?

I wish I was a cat, so I could lie around in sinks.

My old cat used to drink out of toilets, she fell in quite often.

sometimes when my cat is thirsty she will go to my parents bathroom and jump up on the counter crying. We then turn the water on and she sticks her head underneath the flowing water to drink.

The caption is weird… my cat LIES (thank you for pointing that out) in the sink whether it is wet or not… I don’t remember if it was when we took the picture or not.

It must be awesome to be a cat and lie in a sink, like sleeping in the bathtub with your very own, natural cushion around you.

my friend actually had a whole litter of kittens who loved to jump into her creek and swim against the current. it was so funny, watching them hold their little heads just above the surface while their tiny legs paddled underneath the water. like lil’ tigers!

Grammar police issue the following apology. Grammar police communication department apologizes for typographical error. “Cats DO not lay…” is correct. “We strive to root out corruption in our ranks,” a spokesperson said. “The offending finger has been eliminated.”
