Anyone attempting to give a cat a bath should expect to be scratched. If the cat scratches you, after bathing the cat, wash the scratch well with warm soap and water, dry it off, and put a band-aid on it. Antibiotic ointment may also be used.
awww! that looks exactly like my cat after she fell into the bathtub like six years ago!!! she still doesn’t go in that bathroom! awww! it’s so cute though!
Well actually, as mean as it seems, you try getting a cat in a bathtub, I’ve tried, and have the scars to prove it, and this is one of the only ways to wash a cat… without excessive scarring or appendage loss.
I was going to say that this was offensive and abusive, but then I remembered that the average cat, long-haired ones especially, requires a bath once in a while.
This is the saddest kitty ever..I had a cat years ago who loved water. He used to jump into the bath and would run under the hose when you were washing the car!
It’s not cruel to bath or shower a cat. Some cats need bathing regularly. I’ve bathed all three of my cats when they get excessively dirty or get into something that will hurt them if they clean it off themselves. Leaving toxic substances on is more cruel than bathing.
Also, I recently showered my oldest. He’s old, he’s over weight and can’t clean himself properly. I used to shower my mom’s dog because it was easier than bathing. I thought the same might be true for my old guy – he’s the same size as a small dog. It actually worked out quite well and was much easier than a bath would have been.

cat’s don’t hate all water.
they do, in fact, drink it too.
one of my friend’s cats actually climbs into the bathtub with them sometimes, so evidently not every cat hates getting wet, only normal ones.

Would it be odd to say the kitty has puppy-dog eyes?

The cat reminds me of Draco Malfoy for some extremely strange reason.
