Cats are not produced to be the same every time, as in a factory setting, which would make it easy to pinpoint the exact date when the cat will expire. As every cat is different, each will have different expiry dates. Technically it is impossible for this cat to have expired at the date on the box as this would result in it being thoroughly decomposed by now; Although I suppose someone could have taken the photo and then saved it for over year, to post to this site.
This possibility, however, is unlikely and rare and therefore, not average.
Cats do eventually expire, however, this really is fortunate. If no cats expired, then they would eventually overrun the earth, and have no food to eat. Therefore, to expire is good and average. On the other hand, one cannot predict an expiration date exactly, especially for a kitten.
Cats actually will eventually come to their expiration dates but these dates can not be predicted and printed on the packaging they come in. Nor do cats come in packaging.
A cat has an expiration date but it is not a determined one, furthermore, freezing the cat would kill it, not making it last until the expiration date, as stated.
In most senses of the word, a cat does not have an “expiration date” because it is not a determined time at which the cat will “go off” or “expire.”
However, there will come a time in life when the cat will die, but since this time or date is not determined it cannot technically be called an “expiration date.”
@ Symbotics:
Though it is believed that cats have nine lives, it is only because of their ability to escape the stickiest of situations. And possibly because they have been associated with witch craft through out history.
And onto the real comment.
All cats have expiration dates, we just cannot tell the exact date, month, or even year sometimes. It simply depends on the owners’ ability to care for their cat.
In addition, freezing your cat would not prolong its life, it would probably shorten it greatly.
well we do need to know by what date we can eat the cats! why do you think we have cats in the first place? a lovable companion? i think not! DINNER!!!

Well actually, everything living has an expiration date, it’s called “date of death”…
Freezing this cat, however, is just cruel.
