On the contrary, Jet777, by the position of the front right paw which is partially in the air, and the back left paw, which is poised to do the same, It can be assumed that the cat is walking. Cats do not stand still in a mid-walking position, in the way humans do in front of a camera.
Cats are also capable of other moving gaits other than walking. They can run, leap, stretch and perform other such feats of movement. Many of them are easy for cats, but very difficult for humans.
Walking, or any other form of transportation involving the moving of ones feet are very average. Cat’s walk to move from one location to another. A cat that is walking is not remarkable in any way.

i assure you this cat is walking simply because it is my cat. her name is thomasina (tom for short) and is an outdoor cat. the reason i put tom as the name is because i just took her shortened name. she likes to slide through small holes in the fence behind her and can outrun her brothers (yes, they are actually littermates) simply because of her small size. the reason i can assure you this cat is walking is that this picture was taken on my camera in my backyard and if you think im lying, that’s your own problem because she is on my front steps right as this comment is being typed.

Due to the photo blur and the frustrated owner it is obvious the cat is walking. Cats however do sometimes freeze mid-stride while walking towards prey to avoid detection. Stalking prey is a cats primary function aside from reproduction. They are excellent hunters. This is average cat behavior. So it is easy to misinterpret the photo.
