Eh, what you’re missing is where cats are capable of more subtle shades of unhappiness than most animals. That is to say, they’re totally capable of bored irritation.

Most likely, the cat doesn’t like this. Cats are supremely sensitive about their ears, because their ears are rather delicate. Placing things on top of their heads, especially when it has to balance using their ears, never goes down well with them. They may not be angry about it when you try it, they simply want it OFF. If you keep trying to when they clearly are adverse to it, they’ll get irritated or angry pretty quickly.
So yah, you can’t read this cat’s mind but it is extremely reasonable to assume that this cat is upset or irritated by having a tiara placed on its head and then made to sit there for a picture, or that it won’t tolerate it being on its head for very long.
