MOST cats hate baths would be the politically correct way of saying this. Some cats may enjoy or mildly dislike water. Saying that all cats hate baths is a stereotype.

The effect of water on a cat will vary according to it’s upbringing, previous experiences with liquid substances and various other factors. This in itself is unremarkable, as many cats are not exposed to baths until they are mature.
If you put a cat into any source of water, you will have an unhappy cat.
And probably a very scratched up hand.
