There are several good websites for Harry Potter discussion. This is not one of those. This is a site that takes things very literally. Cats in the Harry Potter world are not average. Basilisks are certainly not average.
My posts are not intended to dismiss or insult Harry Potter. I enjoy the books, movies and extended universe as much as anyone. But I fail to see how believing that basilisks do not exist in the real world, where this picture was taken, qualifies me as some sort of crazy.
Again, my only concern is that this site remain dedicated to Average Cats. There is another site, which no doubt many of you post on, known colloquially as MLIA. That site is an appropriate forum for expressing our mutual distaste for Twilight and belief that Harry Potter is superior.
You can stop Thumb Downing my posts now. I am not going to be losing any sleep tonight worrying that Tom Riddle is sending a basilisk after me.
