Perhaps this cat was merely frightened at the fact that there was an unusual creature standing in front of it. So it perhaps is attacking it to get rid of the thing.
Godzilla is a Japanese mythical creature. A cat would not be able to fight Godzilla, as Godzilla does not exist. Furthermore, if Godzilla did exist, the creature is over 100 feet tall. This picture would suggest that the cat is over 100 feet in length, which is impossible, as the skeletal structure of cats cannot support that much weight. The ecosystem of Japan would not support a cat of that size either.
In correction, Godzilla is not a mythical Japanese creature – merely a modern fictional monster created by Tomoyuki Tanaka as the main character in a series of successful films.
