Just because this cat is lying a box labeled “Puma” does not label it as being, or not being, a Puma one way or another. Cats are not affected by, nor do they care for, labels; Despite the large internet meme-cum-community that has sprung up around the idea of labeling pictures of cats (because labeling actual cats would likely not go over well, either with the cats or PETA) for humorous effect.
Following on this line of throught, we can say that labeling a picture of a cat or placing a cat in a box labeled, “Puma”, has absolutely no effect on it’s Puma status. This cat could just as easily not be a Puma elsewhere, with or without the box.

Also, a cat would not know that Puma’s are shoes. They would simply see the box and become very happy that they now had a new place to hide.
