This lion does not contain an internal combustion engine which might require some kind of fuel such as diesel. Even if it did, it is unlikely it would, given the rise in gas prices and the current social trend towards caring for the environment.
While a lion is certainly a member of the cat family, I would not say it is an average cat. Considering that an “average” technically means “approximating the statistical norm or average or expected value”, and the population of domestic cats far exceeds that of any other cat species on earth, the “average” cat is a domestic cat.
